Community Volunteer Organization has quite a few events coming up, and we need volunteers! https://forms.gle/Zx4CxHib5VU1LZBu9 Time spent volunteering with CVO counts towards your 30 hours of volunteer time, and we have multiple opportunities for you! Time spent purchasing items to donate also counts towards your volunteer time. 

Saturday September 27th: Car Wash Fundraiser. We are looking for old towel donations for drying cars, and student and grown up (at least one adult per car) volunteers to help set up at 11am, wash cars from 11:30am-1:30pm, and clean up until 2pm. 

Can't volunteer but want your car washed? You can pre-pay on this post, or bring cash or check to the car wash. You can also donate a wash for another family, or just donate. 

Wednesday October 1st Celebration of Learning: Community Volunteer Organization is looking for volunteers to man the CVO table. Chat with parents about CVO and upcoming events. From TIME to TIME.

October 13-17th (Exact Day to be Determined 1-2 weeks before), Fall Fundraiser Distribution: Help distribute the ship to school orders. Orders will already be packed by student, we just need your help checking them off of the list and getting the order to the student/their grown up. Morning/mid day times will be dependent on the delivery time, but we will definitely need help after school until 6pm when after care ends. We also need help spreading the word that frozen items MUST be picked up that day because the school does not have a freezer to hold them overnight.

Friday October 24th: Trunk of Treat. We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities before and during the event, and donation request items. This year we are making Trunk or Treat a FREE BVA community event, rather than charging for entry. CVO wants all students and their families to be able to participate. For fundraising we will be selling food and drinks, rather than charging for the event. 

Fall Scholastic Book Fair: November 3rd-7th (and The Great Penny Race). We are looking for cashiers and helpers for the Scholastic Book Fair in the Lower Campus MUR. We definitely need volunteers for the first hour after school, one or two days until 6:30pm (so after care students can shop with their grown ups), and we are also determining if teachers want to bring their classes to browse and shop the fair during the school day. 

La Organización Comunitaria de Voluntarios (CVO) tiene varios eventos próximamente ¡y necesitamos voluntarios! El tiempo que pases como voluntario con CVO cuenta para tus 30 horas de servicio comunitario, ¡y tenemos múltiples oportunidades para ti! El tiempo que dediques a comprar artículos para donar también cuenta como horas de voluntariado.

Sábado 27 de septiembre: Lavado de autos para recaudar fondos.
 Estamos buscando donaciones de toallas viejas para secar los autos, y voluntarios estudiantes y adultos (al menos un adulto por auto) para ayudar a preparar a las 11:00 a.m., lavar autos de 11:30 a.m. a 1:30 p.m., y limpiar hasta las 2:00 p.m.
 ¿No puedes ser voluntario pero quieres que lavemos tu auto? Puedes pagar por adelantado en esta publicación, o traer efectivo o cheque al lavado de autos. También puedes donar un lavado para otra familia, o simplemente hacer una donación.

Miércoles 1 de octubre - Celebración del Aprendizaje:
 La Organización Comunitaria de Voluntarios está buscando voluntarios para atender la mesa de CVO. Habla con los padres sobre CVO y los próximos eventos. De HORA a HORA. (Reemplazar con los horarios exactos)

Del 13 al 17 de octubre (el día exacto se determinará 1-2 semanas antes) - Distribución de la Recaudación de Otoño:
 Ayuda a distribuir los pedidos que se enviaron a la escuela. Los pedidos ya estarán empacados por estudiante; solo necesitamos tu ayuda para marcarlos en la lista y entregar el pedido al estudiante o a su adulto responsable.
 Los horarios por la mañana o a mediodía dependerán del momento de entrega, pero definitivamente necesitaremos ayuda después de clases hasta las 6:00 p.m., cuando termina el cuidado después de la escuela.
 También necesitamos ayuda para correr la voz de que los artículos congelados DEBEN recogerse ese mismo día, ya que la escuela no tiene congelador para guardarlos durante la noche.

Viernes 24 de octubre: Trunk or Treat (Cajuela o Dulce).
 Tenemos una gran variedad de oportunidades de voluntariado antes y durante el evento, así como solicitudes de donaciones. Este año estamos haciendo de Trunk or Treat un evento GRATUITO para la comunidad BVA, en lugar de cobrar por la entrada.
 CVO quiere que todos los estudiantes y sus familias puedan participar. Para recaudar fondos, estaremos vendiendo comida y bebidas, en lugar de cobrar por el evento.
